I had been meaning to make my own almond butter for months before I eventually did. I thought it would be hard, or scary, or I'd be the one person who couldn't make it work. It does take a while, but I promise you it's fool proof! And taste so much more delicious than shop bought - and half the price!

1 bag of almonds (any quantity. I used a 200g bag of mixed almonds)
Place almonds in a food processor with the blade attachment. Pulse until a fine consistency. Then keep processing whilst continually using a spatula to push down the sides. It takes a lot of 'on/off's' but it is worth it!
Just when you think it's not going to work the almonds become dough like and then eventually they become thick and creamy. Once this has happened you have almond butter! At this point you could add coconut oil for a runnier butter, or some flavourings like vanilla seeds!
Store in a clean jar.
