Stewed Apple Crumble

If you have leftover Stewed Apples, you can make a quick and easy crumble for something more substantial and tasty. The toasted nut based topping is delicious for breakfast or a hearty dessert! I have left the quantities quite open, as it is entirely to your preference and dependant on how big a ramekin you use or how much stewed apple you have leftover. If I had ½ a stewed apple leftover, I might use 1 tbsp ground almonds and a small handful of chopped walnuts.

Stewed Apple Crumble

Prep time: 5 mins
Cook time: 25mins
Total time: 30mins

Leftover Stewed Apples
Ground Almonds
Chopped Walnuts

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Place the leftover stewed apple in a small ramekin, and top generously with the ground almonds and walnuts, covering the apple mixture.

Bake for 25 mins until the topping is toasty and the nuts are fragrant. Once ready, eat straight out of the bowl with a big spoon and a smile!

Optional: a mug of your favourite tea!

You could crumble on some leftover banana loaf for extra loveliness!
